January 27, 1919 - January 25, 2017 Allen Maxwell Brenner passed away of natural causes on January 25, 2017, just 2 days short of his 98th birthday. He was born and raised in New York. After a five-year tour in the Army as Technical Sergeant, Allen married Jewel Cotten on December 29, 1945. He and Jewel had 3 children and settled in La Crescenta, California. After Jewel's passing in 2006, Allen relocated to La Quinta, California, where he lived until his death. Allen attended Columbia University and made his living in advertising. He enjoyed snow skiing and mountain bike riding into his 80s and was acknowledged for his volunteer work with the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department. He was loved by all who met him, had an incredible sense of humor and is survived by his three children, Lisa, Peter and Christopher and his grandchildren, Nick, Rachel and Romy. In lieu of a service Allen's request is to celebrate his life with a martini!
