Alida Elizabeth Lewis Retired dental assistant, 83 Alida Elizabeth Lewis, 83, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017, at Daughters of Israel Rehabilitation Center, West Orange, N.J. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Alida was a resident of West Orange for 23 years. She was also a devoted member of St. Paul Baptist Church of Montclair, N.J., where she worshipped for 10 years. She was employed as a dental assistant with Hudson River State Hospital, Poughkeepsie, N.Y., where she worked for 30 years before retiring. Alida was the beloved mother of Charlene Lewis Watler and Michael Keith Lewis. She is also survived by five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Arrangements are by Woody "Home for Services," Orange, N.J. At the request of the family, cremation service was held privately at Rosedale Crematory, Orange.
