Albert J. Frasca Koran War veteran owned South Orange insurance agency,devout Giants fan Albert J. Frasca, a.k.a. "Frasco," 87, of West Orange, N.J., passed away at St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, N.J., on Jan. 4, 2017. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady Of Sorrows Church, 217 Prospect St., South Orange, N.J., on Monday, Jan. 9, at 10:30 a.m. Entombment is in Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave., South Orange, on Sunday, from 2 to 6 p.m. Born in Newark, N.J., Albert lived in West Orange for the past 26 years and was formerly of East Orange, N.J. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a staff sergeant during the Korean War from 1951 to 1954. He was the owner and principal of Garden State Insurance Services LLC in South Orange for over 50 years. He was an avid bowler and accomplished athlete for many years of his life, including skiing into his 70's, and a devout New York Giants fan. He enjoyed vacationing annually in St. Martin for over 20 years and spending summers in West Long Branch, N.J. He was predeceased by his wife, Elaine Kelner Frasca, and his son, Howard Maide. He is survived by his children, Paul B. Maide (Rhetta) and Lori Frasca-Oliveira (Jorge); his siblings, Nicholas Frasco and Lucille Frasco-Ricci; his grandson, Steven Maide; and Carol Preblick, who has been very dedicated to Albert's business and a very good friend. In lieu of flowers, donations to National Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1st St., Suite 800, Miami, Fla. 33131 would be appreciated.
