Alice Naomi Bland Services are Saturday Alice Naomi Bland, 94, of Newark, N.J., entered into rest on Jan. 1, 2017. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Genesis Baptist Church, 333 13th Ave. at S. 7th St., where visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of services. Interment is in Fairmount Cemetery, Newark. Alice was the dear wife of the late Herbert Lee Bland, loving daughter of the late Mamie Alston, fond mother of Beryl Bland and Craig L. Bland, and grandmother of Craig A. Bland, Cecily Bland and the late Kevin Bland. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
