Andrea Ramirez Martinez, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister returned peacefully to her Father in Heaven on December 26, 2016. At the time of her death, Andrea was surrounded by her loved ones. She was born December 12, 1930 in Salt Lake City, UT to Andres and Rachel Ramirez. She spent her childhood and teenage years in Helper, UT (Spring Canyon). She married Arturo R. Martinez; he passed away in 2010.
She loved others and her Father in Heaven. She had many fond memories from the time she and her husband, Arturo, presided over the North Central (Torreon Mexico) Mission from 1968 to 1971. Their missionaries became a part of their family.
She is survived by children: Samuel (Tonia), Dulce (Howard), Celeste, Raymundo (Kristin) and Estrellita (Clary); daughter-in-law, Elsy; sisters, Carmen and Erlinda; and brother, Matt. She is preceded in death by her children, Miguel and Ronaldo; grandson, Michael Evans; and siblings, Bonnie and Joel Arthur (Tudy).
A viewing will be held Monday, January 2, 2017, from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary 4760 S. State Street. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at 12 Noon at the Canyon Rim Second Ward, 3000 S. Grace Street (3100 E), with a viewing at the church from 11:00-11:45 a.m. Interment: Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
