Antoinette Parkhurst Veteran Woodbridge teacher and strong family matriarch Antoinette "Toni" Parkhurst (nee Moody), 90, passed away on Dec. 8, 2016, in Green Valley, Ariz. She was born in Elizabeth, N.J., and grew up in Cranford, N.J., graduating from Cranford High and Bethany College, W.Va. Toni taught in the Woodbridge, N.J., public schools from 1955 until 1988 and retired to Santa Fe, N.M. She was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Joseph, and by her daughter, Christine. She is survived by her son, Joseph; daughter-in-law Diane, and grandson Neil. Toni was cheerful and positive to the end and was loved by all for her poise and quiet strength as mother, wife, caregiver, and family breadwinner. A private service is planned.
