1929 ~ 2016
Ann Eda Fern came into our world on July 1, 1929, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and left it for bluer skies on December 9, 2016. She was the loving daughter of Denzil Larch, Zelpha Larch, and Mildred Larch, and big sister to Pat, Sherri, and Carol. At the tender age of nineteen, she married Jiggs Fern and stayed by his side for forty-two years until his death. They had four daughters-Pam, Sandy, Linda, and Mandy. She always said she had the best son-in-laws in Larry Brown, Dave Bayless, Gary Anderson, and Elvin Davila. She loved being grandma to Kim, Emma, Rob, Stephanie, Scott, Miguel, and Janessa. Friends were a big part of Ann's life, and we are grateful for the joy and companionship her friends at Canyon Creek Assisted Living brought her in the final chapter of her life, as well as the compassionate care the staff provided.
If Ann's new life is a reflection of her life on earth, you will find her collecting owls, quilting, reading, working Sudoku puzzles, taking long walks, leading her fellow angels in water aerobics, and gazing at the wondrous sky. At her request, there will be no funeral, but feel free to send a balloon soaring into the wild blue yonder in her honor.
Ann inspired us all with her caring nature and eternal optimism. We will forever cherish her in our hearts.
