Catherine Jean (Richardson) Kelly April 20, 1929 - July 10, 2015

Our mom, a third generation San Franciscan born April 20, 1929, entered into rest with Christ Jesus on July 10, 2015. Mom joins her husband, Frank P. Kelly, Jr. and her son, John E. Kelly as well as her parents, John and Marion Jeanette Richardson and her brother, John E. Richardson, in eternal rest.
Mom is survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Karen Kelly (Nicole, Greg, Madyson & Makenzie Cunha, Michael, Karen, Easton & Sienna Andreacchi and Kerry Andreacchi), Frank P. and Susan Kelly (Frank P, IV, Tiara & Eleanor Kelly, Patrick, Allison & Austin Kelly and Elizabeth Kelly), Jean Marie and Tom Buckley (Nicholas and Ryan Buckley) and Richard Kelly (Annamarie and Erin Kelly). Mom is also survived by her sister-in-law, Marilyn Richardson and her 7 nieces, Bonnie, Leslie, Paula, Donna, Cora, Robin and Jennifer (and their husbands and families).

Mom was educated at St. Anne's and at St. Rose Academy, schools mom dearly loved. She married our Dad in 1951 and began their family in Westlake on Westdale Avenue where many lifelong friendships were formed. In 1964, we all moved to the Â'country', then known as Burlingame. Mom was the mainstay Â'at home mom' overseeing countless activities of her children.

Mom loved volunteering at Peninsula Hospital, Little Children's Aid, Catholic Charities and Junior League of SF. She loved playing dominoes and bridge at the Olympic Club Lakeside with her lifelong friends. Mom and dad retired to Oakmont in Santa Rosa in 1989 where she gathered with friends, played countless rounds of golf, and continued to create beautiful needlepoint and cross-stitched pieces.
Mom will be deeply missed by her loving family, countless friends and others who had the blessed opportunity to have known her.

A service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma at the chapel and then graveside on November 9, 2015 at 11 am. A gathering and celebration will be held at the Cliff House in SF to honor mom's life in the City she loved.
