Charles 'Charlie' Malinowski
Truck driver enjoyed fishing and flea markets in retirement
Charles "Charlie" Malinowski, 90, of Port Reading, N.J., died on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at Arista Care at Cedar Oaks in South Plainfield, N.J. He was born in Queens, N.Y., and lived in Port Reading for 60 years.
He was a parishioner of Divine Mercy Parish Church in Carteret, N.J., and a member of the Port Reading Senior Citizens Center. Charlie was a truck driver and a member of the Teamsters who retired in 1984. His passion was fishing and he enjoyed selling merchandise at flea markets in his retirement.
Charles was married for 64 years to his wife, Pauline, who passed away in 2015. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Lowry and her husband, Robert; his son, Stephen Malinowski; his two grandchildren, Michelle Babula and her husband, John, and Robert Lowry III and his wife, Courtney, and his two great- grandchildren, Johnny and Bethany.
Private funeral services were held under the direction of Synowiecki Funeral Home, 56 Carteret Ave., in Carteret.
