Longtime kindergarten teacher and community volunteer
Barbara Zager, of North Caldwell, N.J., passed away on Monday, Jan. 27, 2020. Barbara was born in the Bronx, N.Y., and raised in Elmwood Park, N.J.
She worked as a kindergarten teacher for 25 years, 13 with Congregation B'nai Jeshurun preschool and the rest in the Verona School System. She loved knitting, needle point, and traveling, but what she loved most was spending time with family. Mrs. Zager volunteered at the J.C.C. and the Morristown Community Soup Kitchen and Outreach Center.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Dr. Robert Zager; her devoted sons, Scott and his wife, Stephanie, and Andrew and his wife Lisa, and her cherished grandchildren, Seth, Alex, Emily, and Allison Zager.
