Betty J. Beamon made her transition on Dec. 25, 2019.
She was a 1953 graduate of Hillside High School, Durham, N.C. She was the daughter of the late Milton and Roberta Dawson; loving wife of the late Eugene J. Beamon; beloved mother of the late Marvin Dawson; loving sister of Mildred Wallace and the late Lucille Swain and Milton Dawson Jr., and dear aunt of Michael Swain (Angela), Eric Swain, Jerry and Velma Wallace and Tracey Smith (Jerard). She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held Monday, 11 a.m., at Nia Fellowship Baptist Church, 174 Valley Rd., West Orange, N.J. Visitation is on Monday at 9 a.m. until time of service, at the church. Entombment is at Hollywood Cemetery, Union, N.J. Arrangements are by Whigham Funeral Home.
