Barbara Wilson, 71, died on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019 in the Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Born and raised in Jersey City, N.J., Barbara had been a resident of South Plainfield since 1970.
She spent her entire career working in the finance industry working her way up the ladder from part time bank teller to a financial advisor. In addition to her career, Barbara enjoyed the value of homeownership and various restoration projects throughout her home. She took great pride in raising her two Seeing Eye puppies Ladell and Aries.
Predeceased by her parents, William and Marion Berberick, and a sister, Jean Fry, surviving are her daughters, Dawn Wilson and her husband, Keith Goudeau, of New York City and Tara Murphy and her husband, Bruno, of Charlotte, Vt.; sister, Elaine Bladon and husband Fred of South Plainfield, and grandchildren, Mercedes, William and Thomas Murphy. Also surviving is her beloved dog Aries.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019 beginning at 9 a.m. followed by an 11:30 a.m. prayer service in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave., South Plainfield, N.J. 07080. Cremation services will take place privately.
