Brackenbury

Died

Malcom (Mick) 5/1/1932-28/3/2019. Founding partner, together with Alastair Barlow, of M.C. Brackenbury and Co. in 1966. Also co-author of Dealing on the London Metal Exchange and Commodity Markets. The firm traded successfully over twenty years and was the last non ring dealing partnership. Prior to the City his major enthusiasm was motor racing. Malcolm was the driver in a team with friends Charles Windsor and Steve Knox; competing at major circuits throughout the UK. A serious crash at Silverstone ended his racing, but bravely he did continue for a while afterward. He also competed in the World Bobsleigh Championships in Lake Placid in 1961. Together with brother, Ian, he was a keen playing and non-playing member of Esher RFU. He treasured his home and friendships in Shepherd Market (where he lived for over fifty years). Survived and much missed by nephews Hugo and Tom and niece Kate and great-niece Anna.
