MILAM, Anna Anna Katheryn Milam of Allen, Texas passed away on April 3, 2019 at the age of 89 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on November 21, 1929 to Michael Myron Lillis and Anna Zylpha Lee Lillis in Kansas City, Kansas. Ann moved to Dallas with her mother and siblings after the death of her father where she attended North Dallas High School. She married Chuck Milam in 1951. They lived in Austin and Pennsylvania and returned to settle in Richardson, Texas. Ann and Chuck raised six children in Richardson. They enjoyed travel, including trips to London, Canada, and extensively across the U.S. A trip to Ireland was one of her fondest memories and she had always cherished family stories of relatives from County Claire, Ireland. Ann loved working with children with special needs, having two of her own, Greg and Tim. She worked with the Notre Dame of Dallas Vocational School as office administrator, where Tim and Greg were educated. Ann was a member of the original board of directors of the Storey Lane Chateau Condominiums Association, Inc., a condominium community for employed special needs residents. Later, she worked at Bank One at Preston Center in Dallas. Ann enjoyed playing bridge, sewing, and the company of her children and grandchildren. Her chocolate sheet cake was legendary. Ann is survived by her sons, Michael Milam (Faith), Mark Milam (Michele), Stephen Milam (Kelly), Timothy Milam; daughter, Katheryn Milam; and grandchildren, Elisabeth Milam, Kate Milam, Christopher James Milam and Bryan Heard Milam. She had many nieces and nephews from the Milam and Lillis families. She was preceded in death by father, Michael Myron Lillis; mother, Anna Zylpha Lee Lillis; father of her children, Chuck Milam; brothers John Robert Lillis, Myron Lillis, and Charles Lillis; sister, Patricia Harper; son, Gregory Milam; and daughter-in-law, Kelly Milam. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 8, 2019 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
