HORNE, Barbara Ann Barbara Ann Horne passed away peacefully with her family by her side on July 22. She was born on June 22, 1944 in Cincinnati. She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Alfreda Getsinger. She is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Kanalas and husband Michael, Jenny Sheffer and husband Daniel, fur baby Chloe, sister Susan Morgan, nephews Clayton Northgraves and wife Renee and Tobin Northgraves and wife Patresha, and many family and friends. Barbara was a major store Account Manager for 32 years for Sharon Young, Inc. and featured in People Magazine in 1988. Before moving to Dallas, she was a former sales manager for Avon cosmetics, and flight attendant for American Airlines in the 60's. Barbara's flare for style was unrivaled just as her ability to shop and find the best deals. She shared her passion for fashion and interior design by advising which outfit flattered your shape best or which decorative furnishing completed your home. Her style was cultivated by her passion for art Monet and Caravaggio among her favorites. She loved art museums like the Met and fashion and design magazines like Bazaar and Architectural Digest. Barbara also enjoyed tending her garden of hydrangeas, roses and azaleas. She loved to be silly and laugh, even in the most difficult of times. If you needed an ear she was the best listener. Certainly, she's already had a glass of reisling, catching up on the latest Angel gossip, while contemplating how she'll redecorate Heaven. Barbara's Celebration of Life will be held July 28 at 12:30 PM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
