HIRSH, Bernard Born July 18, 1916, in Seguin, TX, and raised in Granger, TX, outside of Austin. He passed away peacefully at his home in Dallas on April 1, 2019, at age 102. Survived by children and their spouses: Richard Hirsh (Shelley), Robert Hirsh (Carol), Terry Hirsh (Karen), and Cristy Hirsh; grandchildren: Emily Hirsh, Sharon Hill (Dwight), Julie Hirsh, Aimee Luterman (Daniel); great-grandchildren: Johanna Hill, Gillian Hill; step-sons George Eskin (Hannah-Beth), Edward Gottlieb (Frankie), and their families. Preceded in death by parents, Samuel I. and Sarah Marks Hirsh, sister Lillian, and beloved wives Johanna Cristol Hirsh and Beatrice Castelle Hirsh. Bernard was a graduate of UT Austin School of Law and a member of the State Bar of Texas. Although he never practiced law, the skills served him well during his many years in business as owner of Milliners Supply Company in Dallas and as a community volunteer. He adored his family and friends and modeled a life of integrity and kindness to others. A modest man who did not seek leadership, Bernard served as president of Temple Emanu-El, Temple Emanu-El Brotherhood, and the National Federation of Temple Brotherhoods. Bernard was a genuinely warm and kind gentleman with an enormous heart for others. Following a burial at Temple Emanu-El Cemetery, a memorial service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2019, at 2:30 pm in Stern Chapel of Temple Emanu-El. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to .
