HARKNESS, Ashley Ashley Harkness, 55, of Dallas passed away on April 19, 2019. He was born in Houston, Texas to Glenda Harkness and James Harkness. After attending Spring High School in Houston, Ashley graduated with a business degree from the University of Texas at Austin where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He soon moved to Dallas where he received an MBA. It was there that he married the love of his life, Wendy Weber. Married for 28 years, they have two children. Ashley's family is a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church where he attended Bible study and taught Sunday school. He had a long successful career in finance and commercial real estate, working for J. P. Morgan and Key Bank before leaving to fight a challenging battle with Multiple System Atrophy, a rare form of Parkinson's disease. His many supportive friends and family will remember him for his extraordinary storytelling abilities, easy smile and laugh, kind heart, strength in the face of adversity, and steadfast humility. Ashley is survived by his wife and children, Caroline Elizabeth and William Ashley, his mother, Glenda Harkness Woods (Phil) and siblings, Melissa Anderson (Mike) Susan Nicklos (John) and Karen Liddy. He will be dearly missed by his aunts and uncles and many cousins. Surviving Ashley also are Wendy's parents, Bill and Betsy Weber and brothers, Thomas and David who welcomed Ashley into their family from the start. Ashley also has numerous nieces and nephews that consider him one of their greatest role models. Memorial services will be held at Highland Park United Methodist Church at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 27.
