Antonietta Mazza (nee DiGiovanni), 87, of Maplewood, N.J., passed away at home surrounded by her family on July 26, 2019.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, 767 Prospect St., Maplewood, on Tuesday, July 30, at 11 a.m. Entombment is in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, N.J. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Antonietta was born in Pratola, Serra, Italy; she moved to the United States in 1966 and had lived in Maplewood for the past 47 years. She worked at Durkees Foods in Union in the food packaging department from 1975 to 1994.
Antonietta was famous for her wonderful homemade lasagna and fusilli that her family all enjoyed.
Antonietta was predeceased by her brother, Ferdinando DiGiovanni. She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Sabato Mazza; children, Antoinette DePalma (Antonio) and Anthony Mazza (Christine Tiritilli); siblings, Concetta Polcaro and Elena Magliaro; grandchildren, Daniela, Diana and Luke, and great-granddaughter Olivia.
